Reach and Wash Systems Information

Reach and Wash Pole Cleaning system
Technical & further information

The Reach & Wash System consists of a 7 stage water treatment system and carbon fibre poles to deliver 100% pure graded water to the window or facade surface. The treatment process utilises reverse osmosis and mixed bed demineralising resin to produce 100% pure, laboratory graded water. As no chemicals or detergents are used, the process is environmentally friendly and we even use UV filters to remove any potential bacteria .

The nature of demineralised water is to strive and return to its natural state by actively absorbing all dirt, chemicals and minerals it comes across. When used for window cleaning, provided the correct technique has been used, the final rinse water dries to a perfect finish. In fact the window is not just clean, it is left totally sterile.

Traditional window cleaning leaves behind sticky soap residue, which attracts fresh dirt back to the window. Windows cleaned with the Reach & Wash system, actually stay cleaner for longer.

The precedent has been set by the replacement window industry, where glass used to produce double glazed sealed units is washed and rinsed using demineralised water prior to assembly. This is the reason that sealed units will remain optically perfect for many years, until the seal is damaged.

In an effort to combat increasing restrictions regarding the use of ladders, Clearview window cleaning services were one of the first window cleaning contractors in the UK to start using mobile water treatment systems for use with water-fed poles. Therefore it is not surprising to find that Clearview continues to lead the field in specialist cleaning activities with huge investment in the very latest window cleaning equipment and methods such as our new generation of unique "Hydro Power Systems".

Clearview's "Hydro Power" 7 stage water treatment system offers total mobility, as the system works on water pressure alone. The main advantage is that 100% pure water can be made on site which means that the operators are not restricted by the holding tank capacity, therefore giving longer working times and greater productivity. Other advantages are: lower running costs, silent operation, greater reliability and the most important factor of all, safety.

The Reach & Wash 7 Stage Process is as follows:

  1. Pre sediment filtration is used to remove any debris from the header tanks prior to filtration

  2. All water is then passed through a UV filter to kill any bacteria.

  3. Commercial water softener removes calcium. (Protects RO membrane).

  4. Carbon filter removes harmful chlorine. (Protects RO membrane)

  5. Micron sediment filter removes larger water born partials (protects RO membrane)

  6. 1500 gallons per day, reverse osmosis units filter water to produce 95-98% pure water which is stored in holding tanks.

  7. Mixed bed resin deionisation tank polishes water from holding tank at point of use to deliver 100% pure window cleaning water to the water-fed poles.
